Doctor's Appointment 8-25-08

We had our 32 week doctor's appointment today. It was originally scheduled for Wednesday but due to school meetings I had to change it to today. Since I had to change it we had to see a different doctor than we have been seeing, which really isn't that big of a deal because there is only a 25% chance that the doctor we've been seeing will deliver us anyway. The doctor's at the office we go to do 24 hour shifts at the hospital so we may have 1 of 4 doctors.

Today's appointment went well. My blood pressure was good. He said my weight was good (I gained 2 lbs...for a total so far of 13 lbs.). Her heartbeat was good it was 142 beats, which he said it's supposed to be between 120-160 beats so that is good. He told me to do the fetal kick count, which was the first time the doctor's mentioned this. He wants me to keep track of at least one of her wake periods during the day. I'm supposed to make sure that I can feel her move at least 10 times during this time. He said it usually is around a 30 minute period. I asked him if he could tell which position she is in and so he felt and said that her head is head down (which is good) and her butt is at the top of my uterus (which explains why I feel like my insides are in my ribs). I told him that I mainly feel her on my right side and he said that she probably has her feet over there. It was again an in-and-out appointment. I go back in 3 weeks on September 15th.
