Week 27

Well it's been a while since I updated, so I thought I would take the time to write something!!

Over the last couple of weeks there hasn't been too much new going on. Kallie has started moving more and more. Ryan has felt her move quite a bit now. It's kind of fun for him to be able to feel her move. I have started being able to see my belly move at times when she is moving. I don't think that she likes the heat as she isn't as active on hot, humid days.

My feet have been doing better, although yesterday and today they are a little swollen. I decided to schedule my 3 hour blood glucose test and not put it off any longer. I went and took that this morning. It was quite the process...I scheduled it for 7:30 in the morning since I had to fast. Ryan went with me so we got there and they had to draw my blood to make sure that my blood sugar level was "normal." It was under what it needed to be so then they had me drink the Glucola (I think is what it's called). It tastes like a very sugary orange Hawaiian punch. Then I had to sit and wait for an hour in the waiting room. Then they drew my blood. Then wait another hour and another draw, and then once again wait another hour and then another draw. When they were drawing my blood I would give them the same arm every time. The lab techs asked me if my arm hurt yet...which it surprisingly didn't. But I purposely gave them the same arm every time because I know there is a good vein in my right arm and can't stand the thought of them digging around looking for a vein in my other arm. :-) So needless to say my arm might bruise....we'll see!
Our doctor's office posts lab results online, so I went online and looked at my results. All 4 of the draws showed that they were under the range that they were supposed to be. So as of now, unless I hear differently the test results were GOOD! I e-mailed my doctor's office to make sure that I was reading the test results the right way, but I believe that I did!

We went with my family last week to watch my brother Chad race. It was a busy week but a lot of fun. One of the stops was in Washington where we also go to go to my Great Aunt and Uncle's 50th wedding anniversary party. It was good to see some family from Colorado and Washington that we haven't seen in a while. There are two of my second cousin's wives who are also pregnant and due a few weeks before me. It was fun to see them too!

We are excited about this weekend as we have our 2nd shower. In May we had a school baby shower and this weekend we are having a shower with Ryan's side of the family. We are looking forward to seeing everyone!

I hope that everyone is having a great summer! Don't hesitate to ask questions or make comments! :-) I promise to post again soon!

We're in the 3rd and final trimester...the homestretch!!! ;-)

Talk to you soon!

Love,
Ryan & Melissa
